Dr. Anthony Taglienti is a Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, and is excited to be a member of the exceptional team at Marotta Plastic Surgery Specialists. Dr. Taglienti received his medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and awarded the Dr. Morris Ginsburg Prize for possessing traits of “The Ideal Physician”. He was then selected to the University of Pennsylvania’s renowned Plastic Surgery Residency Program, where he served as Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery for both the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Prior to his medical training, Dr. Taglienti earned a Certificate in Pre-Medical Sciences from Columbia University and graduated magna cum laude from Yale University with a B.A. in Psychology.
Dr. Taglienti specializes in an array of surgical procedures including cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, abdominoplasties and general body contouring. His interests in plastic surgery are diverse, and he has spoken at multiple national meetings on a wide range of topics. Dr. Taglienti has also published in notable peer-reviewed academic journals, including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and The Aesthetic Surgery Journal, and was honored to serve in a medical mission abroad with Operation Smile, the cleft lip and palate organization. In 2016, he was voted a Doctor of Distinction by Long Island Pulse magazine. True to this award, he is widely respected for his warm and open demeanor with patients, as well as his ability to address concerns with empathy and a critical eye.
In his spare time, he enjoys staying active, running marathons and spending time with family and friends. Originally from Suffolk County, Long Island, Dr. Taglienti is thrilled to have returned home to Long Island to help patients achieve their most desired appearance.
