Marotta Med Spa offers the collection of Juvederm dermal fillers on Long Island
Collagen production decreases as you age, causing the skin to lose its elasticity and wrinkles to form. When the skin wrinkles, it rests on tissue that can no longer support or push the skin back into position. Juvederm contains hyaluronic acid - a naturally occurring substance in your body that leaves your skin smoother and more hydrated. Dr. James Marotta and his highly skilled aesthetic team at Long Island’s Marotta Med Spa offer their collection of Juvederm injectables. Schedule your consultation to learn more about how Juvederm can work for you.
Juvederm Injectable Gel is a collection of cosmetic dermal fillers made with hyaluronic acid (HA) used to treat wrinkles and restore lost volume in lips.
It is one of the best non-surgical forms of facial rejuvenation and lip enhancement available today. It is capable of countering some of the most frustrating signs of aging for a more vibrant and youthful you. Juvederm is also safe to use on most skin types.
The best candidates for Juvederm are those people who have mild to moderate wrinkles and facial folds. Consider achieving your aesthetic goals by adding Juvederm to your skincare maintenance regimen to address the following issues:
Facial folds extend from the corners of the nose to the corners of the mouth.
These lines extend from the corners of the mouth to the sides of the chin.
Lipstick lines are those fine lines around your mouth. Schedule a consultation with Dr. Marotta or his dedicated team at Marotta Med Spa on Long Island to learn more.
Benefits include treating the hollowing under the eyes or in the cheek area and treating naturally thin lips or those that have thinned with age.
Our Long Island patients often opt for Juvederm treatments because of the following benefits:
For any reason you do not like your results, Juvederm is dissolvable with hyaluronidase.
Each Juvederm filler in the collection serves a specific purpose, has its own properties and longevity.
During your consultation, Dr. Marotta or one of our aesthetic experts will assess your skin concerns to determine the proper Juvederm filler to meet your aesthetic goals. The types of Juvederm filler we offer on Long Island at Marotta Med Spa include:
It will address the loss of elasticity and fill the areas around the mouth and nose.
These are excellent options for non-surgical lip enhancement.
It works specifically to add volume to your cheeks.
SkinVive by Juvederm is injected into targeted facial tissue to enhance definition and diminish the visibility of lines and wrinkles.
Dr. Marotta will provide you with pre-treatment instructions to optimize your experience.
You must avoid certain medications that cause bleeding, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, NSAIDs, green tea, and some herbal supplements. It is also recommended to refrain from drinking alcohol for one to two weeks before your treatment and smoking for a few days after your treatment because it impedes blood flow and healing. Dr. Marotta will then inject the HA solution using a microneedle into your treated areas. Your treatment typically takes 15 -60 minutes, depending on the number of affected areas.
Most Long Island Juvederm patients do not have any pain or discomfort and often return to work or daily activities after their appointment. Immediately following the injection, an ice pack will be placed on your face to soothe your skin and minimize the potential for bruising or swelling.
You may have some redness or swelling at the injection site, but this usually dissipates rapidly, and most patients return to work immediately following the procedure. If you had lip enhancement injections, swelling may be more pronounced and last a bit longer. However, it is advised to avoid sun exposure, wearing makeup, or drinking alcohol for the next 24 hours.
The increase in volume is noticeable right away as the hyaluronic acid begins to work immediately.
You will see even more results once any swelling or bruising dissipates. Results may last for six months to up to two years but depend on which type of Juvederm filler is chosen and the placement.
Juvederm is just one of the many facial fillers we offer at Marotta Med Spa.

Juvederm Injectable Gel is injected into the treatment area with a very fine needle during your facial rejuvenation procedure, resulting in minimal discomfort. In addition, your Long Island aesthetic specialist may apply topical anesthetics, ice, or local anesthetics to ensure your comfort. We inject minimal amounts at a time for a smooth and even distribution that produces natural-looking results.
The Federal Drug Administration has approved Juvederm as a safe and effective anti-aging therapy. It is manufactured using a patented smooth gel consistency technology and a high degree of cross-linking. Because of these manufacturing changes, Juvederm Injectable Gel is smoother and creates less swelling and redness upon injection.
Juvederm is not recommended for people who have severe skin allergies, skin infections, or pregnant women.
Each patient’s experience is different. Consistency is the key, and Juvederm is an effective treatment to combat the signs of aging. Your results will last anywhere from six months to two years.
Juvederm is a cosmetic treatment and is typically not covered by insurance. However, Marotta Med Spa offers a variety of affordable discount treatment packages.
Your aesthetic expert will discuss your cost in more detail during your consultation. The price of treatment varies on the number of areas being treated and the amount of Juvederm used.
Recovery and results will differ with each patient. Some patients may experience redness, swelling, and bruising but find that makeup can cover those side effects. You will want to avoid sun exposure and consume alcohol to help heal for at least 24 hours. To maintain your optimal results, it’s important to follow post-procedure instructions and schedule maintenance sessions as needed.
During your consultation, your aesthetic expert can discuss in detail all of the differences between injectables and neuromodulators. For example, Botox and Juvederm can treat multiple areas of the face. However, Botox relaxes facial muscles mainly in the forehead and eye area where wrinkles form because of repetitive muscle movements. In comparison, Juvederm treats age-related volume loss primarily in the cheek and lip area.
We are able to capture face, breast, and body images in ultra-high resolution 3D, to show our patients the exciting possibilities of their simulated aesthetic procedures.
