Nose Surgery
21 year old male presented with complaints of breathing difficulty L>R, difficulty breathing through nose with exercise with no relief from a 6 month course of nasal steroids. Overall, he was unhappy with the size, bump and obvious deviation to the right. Physical exam of the patient revealed a deviated septum and collapse of internal nasal valve. Dr. Marotta determined that he would be a good candidate for primary open rhinoplasty, repair of nasovestibular stenosis and septoplasty to treat his concerns. The goal for treatment was to reduce dorsal hump, straighten the nasal appearance, correct middle vault collapse and septal straightening. At 8 months post-op, the patient is very pleased with his natural results and improved breathing. Â
